Some more generous cards given away and traded to me lately, including four from OBC in the past week, the most from there in a while.
Steve Sankner sent two Mets to this Yankee fan. Happy to get a '72 high number and an O-Pee-Chee, even if they're Mets.
Dan Williams sent these vertical cards, mostly 1960 but there's a 1961 card at the bottom.
Jeff of Wax Pack Wonders sent a delightful RAOK out of nowhere. Hopefully that might mean he blogs again at some point. A couple of modern cards in there, including the last one I needed to finish 2025 series 1. There were two '55 Bowmans and a '65 Topps that were set needs. The 1960 Bill Harris came the same day as the one in the envelope from Dan Williams (above). Anyone need one? And the '56s are cards I already had but Jeff thought I would appreciate. You've got Gus Triandos with his name replaced by Dick Dryhoski, and Hal Jeffcoat with his name replaced by Frank Smith. If any blogger wants these let me know, otherwise I can surely find a good home for them within OBC.
Finally one TCDB trade, with RParsons17. I sent him some modern cards, mostly, and he sent me a great mix of both vintage and modern. He's a Cubs fan, so no surprise that seven of the eight vintage cards were Cubs.
Cubs flavor with the modern cards too, with five hits to my 1982 Fleer Stamps set. My favorite by far is Dick Tidrow, grumpily tossing the ball at the cameraman.
got me some vintage OPC this past week too, they're great to get.

ReplyDeleteWith my connection to Frank Smith, I'll happily take the Smith/Hal Jeffcoat card. If I ever come across Smith's buddy again, he'll be amused.
